Trim superfluous nasal hair
The minute men start aproaching the age of 30 the odd strands of nasal hair often start protruding from the nose. Whilst this hair growth is totally normal, left unchecked it can with no trouble get out of hand.

The bad news is that once nose hair starts to become evident more nasal hair will start to emerge as you get older.

Nose hair performs an important function and therefore should not be removed completely. Nasal hair acts as a filter to put a stop to dirt and germs from entering the nose. However if nose hairs are beginning to grow out of control a minimal trim is usually all that is needed.

Contrary to the myth the trimming of unnecessary nasal hair will not make them grow back thicker or faster. So feel free to trim any nose hair that has grown out of control.

The word "Trimming" is key to the grooming of nose hairs. You should never pluck nasal hairs either by hand or with tweezers. Not only is it uncomfortable, but it can also cause infections.

The aim is not to totally remove all nasal hair as some nose hair is required to protect your nasal passage and keep it clean.

Only those unattractive nasal hairs protruding from the nose should be removed and this is best done with a suitable electric or battery nose hair trimmer. There are a many nose hair trimmers on the market explicitly designed for the purpose of trimming nasal hair quickly, safely and painlessly.

There are two main types of nasal hair trimmers. Both use a spinning blade to cut the nose hair. The first type uses a blade which spins in just one direction and the other type uses a blade which constantly changes direction from left to right. Whilst both will do the same job in removing nasal hair, some believe that the second type is less painful.

Remember the aim is not to do away with all nose hairs, just trim the unsightly ones. Nasal hair trimming only takes a few seconds and should be performed as part of a regular grooming routine.
