Undesirable nose hair
When men get near to the age of 30 the odd strands of nasal hair often start protruding from the nose. Whilst this hair growth is totally common, left unchecked it can without doubt get out of hand.
The bad news is that once nose hair begins to become visible more nasal hair will start to emerge as you get older.
Nose hair performs an important function and therefore should not be removed completely.
Nasal hair acts as a filter to block dirt and germs from entering the nose. However if nose hairs are beginning to grow out of control a modest trim is usually all that is required.
Contrary to the myth the trimming of unwelcome nose hair will not make them grow back thicker or faster. So feel free to trim any nasal hair that has grown out of control.
The word "Trimming" is key to the grooming of nose hairs. You should never pluck nasal hairs either by hand or with tweezers. Not only is it uncomfortable, but it can also cause infections.
The aim is not to wholly remove all nose hair as some nasal hair is required to protect your nasal passage and keep it clean.
Only those unsightly nasal hairs protruding from the nose should be removed and this is best done with a suitable electric or battery nose hair trimmer. There are a many nose hair trimmers on the market purposely designed for the purpose of trimming nasal hair quickly, safely and painlessly.
There are two main types of nose hair trimmers. Both use a spinning blade to cut the nasal hair. The first type uses a blade which spins in just one direction and the other type uses a blade which persistently changes direction from left to right. Whilst both will do the equivalent job in removing nose hair, some believe that the second type is less painful.
Remember the aim is not to cut off all nasal hairs, just trim the unattractive ones. Nasal hair trimming only takes a few seconds and should be performed as part of a regular grooming routine.
